This Book Changed My Life

I'm sure that some people will say something meaningful. Perhaps it was The Bible. I prefer other works of fiction.

I've read a lot of really amazing books through the years, but in all honestly, the most recent book to change my life was Twilight. In fact, the entire Twilight Saga. Let me explain.

The book changed my life because it started my reading addiction again. I used to read a lot back in the late nineties. Then, for some reason, I stopped. Maybe I ran out of free time. Maybe I ran out of interesting things to read. Or interesting to me.

I think when Stephenie Meyer wrote the Twilight Saga, she infused the pages with some sort of highly addictive substance. :) I read all three of the books, and then immediately had to have more books. I was on a paranormal kick for awhile after that, before gradually moving to contemporary YA. I then discovered NA.

My genre of choice? I don't think I have one. My taste is all over the place. I read a little bit of everything. I actually still love to read YA and NA but I won't NOT read a book if it's something else. My attention span is not that wide, so whatever I'm reading at the moment has to grab me by the collar of the shirt and hang on. I get bored easily.

So yes, Twilight changed my life.
