True Love Is

Everything I know about love, I learned from my dog. The purest, most non-judgmental, all-forgiving love I've ever known came from a dog. Any human could stand to learn a few lessons from man's best friend. He's there when I come home from work. He's always happy to see me. He asks for so little in return, only that I feed and water him. Take him out when he needs to go and give him shelter from the elements. He shares my bed every night. He comforts me when I'm sad, or sick, or just not feeling all that great because he knows!

I've been married twice, and divorced twice. Unless I find a man who loves me as unconditionally as my dog does, a man who loves dogs as much as I do... I'll likely remain single for the rest of my days. I'm okay with that. I'll never be a crazy cat lady... dingy dog lady, maybe.

But, yes, in my eyes, my dog is the epitome of true love.
