Her laughter was infectious. Coupled with the twinkle in her eye, it was enough to make his stomach do flip-flops. When exactly had she stopped being his best friend's little sister and started looking like something he'd like to have wrapped around him?

"Dude. Stop looking at Shawna like that. Because I swear to God, if you so much as touch my little sister, I will cut your dick off and feed it to you for lunch," David told him.

"What? I am not looking at Shawna like that. You're nuts. She's just a kid," he lied.

Shawna frowned when she heard him, and glared. Alex shrugged his shoulders and slipped her an apologetic look on the sly. When she got up and went into the kitchen, he wanted to jump up and follow her, but the evil eye that David gave him told him he'd better not.

"Shit," David groaned. "I'm out of cigarettes. I've got to go to the store, we need anything?"

"Bring me back a box of condoms for later," Shawna called out from the kitchen.

Alex nearly choked on his beer. F*ck me. What was she trying to do to me?! He thought.

"Very funny, wise-ass," David told her.
